We imagine the past few years at vet school have been an interesting mix of challenging academic work, an introduction to surgery, long hours, financial commitments… oh and hopefully some good times along the way. We understand that you have now reached a really exciting time in your career and we’d like to help you take that next, very important, step.
We established our Vet Graduate Development Programme in 2011 because we appreciate how daunting it can be to go straight into practice from the relative safety of your vet school’s training environment. Our 2 year programme is specially designed to help you develop your medical, surgical and softer skills such as communication, team work and leadership allowing you to train on the job with experienced and supportive Veterinary Partners as well as take paid leave to attend specialist CPD events every couple of months.
From your first day with us you will have a mentor who will be there to guide you through every step of your professional development and crucially, you will start building your own client base and see continuity of cases with the support of your wider team.
Our Partnership model is unique. With us you get the best of both worlds. All the benefits that come from being part of a large respected organisation, but also the opportunity to work alongside and learn from the senior vet of the practice. Each and every one of our practices has its own unique personality and atmosphere. And in just the same way, we actively encourage and welcome you as an individual with your own needs, hopes and interests which we hope we can help you fulfil.
So, if you have graduated in 2017 or are due to graduate in 2018 with a relevant veterinary degree and share our passion for delivering outstanding pet healthcare and great customer service then we would love to hear from you.
Applications are NOW OPEN! for our 2018 programme. We welcome applications from UK and International vet students and graduates. If you’re interested in applying please click the ‘apply now’ link above.
If you’d like more information on the programme or just to chat to us about what you’re looking for and see if we can provide it then call Sarah Simmons on 01793 429044 or email her on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Once you’ve applied we’ll contact you directly to find out a bit more about you and what you’re looking for as well as to tell you a bit about us and our Partner’s practices. We want to help match you with the practice, people and location that are right for you. The next step would then be to attend an assessment centre where we can meet face-face and find out more about each other in person. From there if you’re successful you would have an interview(s) at practice (s) which we and you felt could be the right fit.
