Transparency Statement

What information are you collecting?

The relevant employer within the Pets at Home Vet Group will collect information from you relating to your application for employment with us. Such information may include your name, contact information, demographic information, job experience and history, educational background, position(s) you are interested in and any other information you choose to submit including CV, Cover Letter or similar submissions such as through Social Media accounts such as LinkedIn.

How will you use my personal information?

We use your data to progress your application through our recruitment process and, if you have consented, to inform you of future job opportunities.

Who will you share my personal information with?

We will share your information with our recruitment team and our veterinary practices.

We will not sell or rent any of your identifiable personal information to any third party, however we use a third party provider to support our recruitment process. Your data will be used and transferred to our provider only for the purposes of processing your application. We will use appropriate security measures with our provider in compliance with relevant data protection laws.

Under certain circumstances, we may occasionally be required by a regulatory body or law enforcement agency to disclose certain personal information to them.

How long will you keep my personal data for?

We will keep your personal data no longer than is necessary for the recruitment process, unless the data is relevant to a successful application leading to an offer of employment or for keeping records imposed under law. In such cases, relevant data will be transferred to our People Team in accordance with our Colleague Privacy Notice. In the event of an unsuccessful application, your details will be deleted within six (6) months of the decision unless you consent to us retaining the information longer so that you can be considered for other potential job openings.

What is your cookie policy?

We will store the personal information that you provide via our Applicant Tracking System and we may also collect anonymous technical data based on the cookies enabled on your device. Such data is used in accordance with our cookie policy for the purpose of processing your information and ensuring the correct operation of the system.

How secure will my data be?

We will ensure we use technical, manual and administrative measures to reduce the risk of loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure or modification of your information.

What are my rights?

You’re in control of your data. Should you wish to stop receiving emails or opt out of the communications you receive, you can email us at recruitment@vets4pets.com with OPT OUT in the subject header.
